Carrot Salad à la Auntie

Grate 4-6 carrots. Add 1/2 cup toasted sunflower seeds and 1/2 cup golden raisins. Add to taste: Mayo, lemon juice and rind, tiny bit of salt and nutmeg.

Chill well and serve. 

Mom's variation: Add a little honey, omit salt and nutmeg.

but first... just kidding. I'm loving your recipe blog, you guys. When's the book coming out? I want to hold it in my garlicky hands and flip through and look at the pictures and splash lemon juice and tomato sauce on it!

uh... erm... I mean I want to treat it gently and respectfully, the way any good librarian's sister would, of course.
